Stories from the Past came from a time when I began to look more honestly at where I came from.

These paintings hold fragments of childhood, memory, and the ways those experiences shaped how I see myself and move through the world.

I wasn’t looking for clear answers. I was trying to understand, to sit with what had been there for a long time.

This work marks the beginning of a shift, of seeing the past not only as something painful, but as something I could hold with more compassion.
