Stories from the Past came from a time when I began to look more honestly at where I came from.

These paintings hold fragments of childhood, memory, and the ways those experiences shaped how I see myself and move through the world. Some of it is heavy, some of it softer, but all of it felt important to face.

I wasn’t looking for clear answers. I was trying to understand, to sit with what had been there for a long time, and slowly learn to meet it with more acceptance.

This work marks the beginning of that shift, of seeing the past not only as something painful, but as something I could hold with more compassion.
